At Jubilee we have many different performances and chances for the children to show their varying talents. Learning through Multiple Intelligences is important for our children to know that we value and respect all work – not just the neatly written and correctly added!
Every Friday a different class shares the work they have been doing in a class assembly – parents love to see what their children have been learning; these performances demonstrate a cross curricular approach to the curriculum.
Every year we have a Christmas production (a firm favourite is our dancing sheep!), a Year 6 Leavers' production and a Spring performance. We have music assemblies incorporating all the amazing work of the musicians in school (recorders, flutes, brass, keyboards, violins and guitar). At the end of the year (Christmas or summer) we have a brilliant talent show where children can demonstrate all those extraordinary qualities that might get missed out in the everyday classroom; we’ve seen magic tricks, ventriloquism, belly dancing, diabolo…and even a short film of dog training! Our fantastic New Hall (not so new now!) is a splendid venue for all these performances.
Each year the different classes make short films that showcase the learning they have been doing in ‘London Pride’ and in other areas such as maths or sailing!
Displays around the school celebrate the amazing work that the children do. Follow some of the links on the left of this page to see some examples.
