George and Naomi have both been fortunate to be selected for the London marathon this year. We really admire them wanting to achieve such a challenge in order to raise money for two amazing charities.
George's chosen charity is Ormiston Families
Ormiston Families supports children, young people and their families to manage the challenges they face and improve their life chances. Their vision is that “every child and young person is loved, nurtured and valued”. Find out more here: http://www.ormiston.org/
Naomi's chosen charity is The Refugee Council
There are now are more refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people than at any time since the close of the Second World War. Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis and others are fleeing terrorism and war. Many of these are children. It is a time of acute human need.
The Refugee Council not only supports refugees and asylum seekers with emergency shelter and food aid, but also supports them to become integrated in the UK; teaching them the English language, how to write a CV and how to navigate the UK's complex asylum system. They believe that no human is illegal. Find out more here: http://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/
Naomi is trying to raise £1000. You can help her reach her target by donating here:
