This term Year 3 have been looking at the use of figurative language in poetry; similes, metaphors and personification. We were inspired by Berlie Doherty's poem, 'Season Sketch', to create our own poems about nature.
We visited the meadow and used our senses to closely observe the sights, sounds and feel of the plants and trees. We then developed our own imaginative descriptions using figurative language.
We are very proud of the results and hope you enjoy these poems too!
