In the summer term of year 2 and year 6, all children take national curriculum tests, often referred to as SATS. This is a national requirement, and the Standards and Testing Agency have produced some guidance for parents. Please follow this link

If your child is in year 6, they will probably have mentioned something about the SATS, but year 2 children probably won't have. This is deliberate! Although we do spend time preparing for them, we feel that children in year 2 perform best when they are not put under undue stress and pressure.
