PSHE is the acronym for Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education.
PSHE
At Jubilee we use the Jigsaw Scheme of Work. It is a mindful approach to PSHE that enables children to build emotional resilience as well as enhancing focus and concentration.
In Jigsaw PSHE, mindfulness is developed through the ‘Calm me’ part of each jigsaw piece (lesson) which consists of breathing techniques, awareness exercises and visualisations.
It is designed as a whole school approach with all year groups working on the same theme (puzzle) at the same time. Each puzzle starts with an introductory assembly generating a whole school focus for adults and children.
Jigsaw Puzzles:
Autumn 1 | Being me in my world |
Autumn 2 | Celebrating differences including anti-bullying |
Spring 1 | Dreams and goals |
Spring 2 | Healthy me |
Summer 1 | Relationships |
Summer 2 | Changing me (including RSE) |
