31 Jan Lunar New Year
Kung hei fat choy!
2022 is the Year of the Tiger
Children in nursery have been learning all about the Lunar New Year. Eileen talked to us about how people celebrate this special occasion, and showed us a real cheong sam that her daughter wears for the event. We learnt that the people celebrate by decorating the house and the outside with lanterns, often in the colour red, which signifies good luck and happiness. We enjoyed watching a film of a Lunar New Year celebration where we saw a Chinese dragon parade and a traditional lion dance. We will be making our own lanterns this week to decorate our classroom.
